Gavin Newsom offers sneak peak of his talk show

No offense, but this guy must really love seeing his name in print. California's lieutenant governor has penned a piece for THR on what his new Current TV talk show will be like (being careful to make mention of his upcoming book on technology and governance). Turns out that Newsom won't host just any old TV talk show - it will be "an opportunity to showcase the remarkable talent that exists across our state and country in a positive light, not from a pundit point of view, because I'm not a pundit, but from a practical point of view as a sitting elected official who can't talk exclusively about the ideal but has to translate the ideal into practical reality." Time to take a breath. Here's more (and keep those eyes open!):

I'm one of those old-fashioned guys who thinks the best politics is the better idea. So while this is a political show, it's not just sourcing ideas from politicians. This is about sourcing ideas and inspiration from across sectors, in the entertainment industry, the artistic community and from technologists. I think these fields are incredibly important to the economic future of our country. We will continue to explore what's working in the technology fields, but all these areas provide real opportunity for us to see things differently and to act differently in the political realm.
