Just because we're watching less TV doesn't mean we're watching less TV

No, I'm not being a wise guy. Bernstein Research, which has been tracking the viewing habits of Netflix streaming subscribers, came up with an interesting tidbit: The AMC and FX networks have seen an increase in audiences, despite greater program-watching on the Web. ATD's Peter Kafka figures that Netflix users are discovering old episodes of shows like "Mad Men," and that has prompted them to watch new episodes on cable.
