Here's what gas prices looked like around the country as of last Friday (from GasBuddy.com, via Econobrowser). The highest prices, which you can see in red, take up all of California. Lowest are in Texas. (It's worth noting that state prices are often higher than the rest of the nation.) L.A.-area prices should start coming down noticeably later this week.
