UCLA honor goes to Pepsico CEO

pepsi.jpgIndra Nooyi will receive this year's John Wooden Global Leadership Award from the Anderson School of Management. It's a nice honor - past recipients include Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, FedEx CEO Fred Smith, and Peter Ueberroth. Nooyi, who has been chief executive since 2006, will be recognized at a dinner Monday night in Beverly Hills. From UCLA Newsroom:

"Indra Nooyi's leadership and vision go well beyond building a successful global corporation," said Judy Olian, dean of UCLA Anderson. "She also inspires as a positive influence of business on the world. Under Indra's direction, PepsiCo has achieved strong business results while also creating a foundation for long-term growth with thoughtful initiatives that are good for the planet. Her principle-centered approach to leadership embodies the ideals of Coach Wooden."
