The statue of a little girl reading sat near the fountain at the Cove Colony Plaza (perhaps the most forgettable name on earth) for years. Kids climbed in her lap. They tried to steal her book. Birds pooped on her head. And then one day, poof! little reading girl was gone. No one seemed to know anything about it. Last week, she suddenly reappeared. Same spot. Same book.
