NYT 'Public Editor' writes his obit

Daniel Okrent has a good grasp of what his new position at the New York Times will mean to his cultural legacy:

Now my obituary won’t say ‘Okrent died’ and ‘He invented Rotisserie baseball.’ Now my obit will say: ‘He was the first public editor of The Times.’ It’s a huge step forward."

Rotisserie baseball will still get a big mention.
