DA targets developer Casden

In announcing indictments Monday against 14 developers and subcontractors for illegal campaign donations, DA Steve Cooley said that major residential developer Alan Casden is a target of the prosecution. The most telling sentence in the Times story, though, may be this one:

The district attorney described the indictment as part of a wider investigation into illegal campaign funding in Los Angeles.

Things could get very interesting. Or they could fizzle out like most investigations of corruption in Los Angeles. Daily News story
