Counting stories

| 1 TrackBack

An Atlanta consulting firm that declares the "best" urban newspaper by simply counting stories of interest has rated the L.A. Times tops in the country. Civic Strategies' criteria for picking a story are, shall we say, shaky:

* Does it help us understand this city or region?
* Does it point to an emerging urban trend?
* Is it so bizarre or funny that Tom Wolfe might work it into one of his novels?

But it got the firm some electronic ink. Also on Romenesko: Foxnews.com's Roger Friedman is publicly feuding with Sharon Waxman of the NYT Los Angeles bureau over, apparently, nothing. (From Page Six)
