Patt goes to Simi

Patt"Life and Times" (KCET, 7 p.m.) is sending Patt Morrison, one of the Times' most liberal columnists, out to the Reagan Library in Simi Valley tonight to take a tour and "survey the life and legacy of Ronald Reagan." That gnashing of teeth you hear is from Patt's many admirers on the conservative side. Meanwhile, her politics column in the paper today has an amusing item about Rock the Vote:

The e-invitation to this Saturday's Hollywood Palladium awards party for Rock the Vote — the crusade to register 18-to-24-year-olds to vote — says guests "must be 21 to enter."

Rick Orlov's City Hall column in the Daily News has a frightening item about a city-chartered airplane carrying councilman Tony Cardenas and DWP officials plunging over the Grand Canyon last week. The windshield shattered, causing the plane to lose pressure. "I've never felt a drop like that," Cardenas said.
