NY Press scribe rips LAT

New York Press contributor J.R. Taylor rips into Sunday's front-page LAT story "Hollywood Rediscovers Grown-ups" by Elaine Dutka, calling it sycophantic and breathless. (Movie City News agrees, terming the Dutka story on its main screen "one of the most absurd & misleading trend stories ever printed.") Taylor's real agenda in the piece, though, seems to be to vent about the John Carroll blast at Fox News reported here over the weekend and LAT political slant in general. The lede makes a suspicious claim: "Of course, the paper's most recent decline in readership was based on blatantly biased political coverage." Is this a fact Taylor just knows, is it made up, or is there a source for it? Inquiring minds would love to know...
