LAT exec goes to Hoy

Gisselle Acevedo-Franco, vice president for public affairs at the L.A. Times, gets the new title of president of Hoy, the Tribune's Spanish-language paper here. Also, Juan Arango, general manager and senior vice president of editorial operations for Hoy Los Angeles, has been given the job of executive editor and senior vice president of all the Hoy papers nationwide. The previous publisher of Hoy retired after it came out in June that circulation figures had been exaggerated. Press release.
