Question: Where will Mayor Villaraigosa and Chief Bratton drag the media to announce the 2007 crime stats? AKA, a "historic reduction in homicides and violent crime."

Presser is Wednesday at 12:30 pm, with City Council members Eric Garcetti, Jack Weiss and Janice Hahn invited along for the ride.

* Well, actually: Garcetti is in Iowa stumping for Obama and won't be here, despite being listed on the mayor's release. Garcetti's dad Gil is also in Iowa, along with a bunch of Californians.
