Parsons featured on 'Off Ramp'

I've been kicking myself for a week for under-playing the selection of Russ Parsons, one of my favorite food writers, to the dining industry's hall of fame. He's the first to be honored from Southern California since 2000 and joins a heavyweight list of previous L.A. winners that includes restaurateurs Susan Feniger, Mary Sue Milliken, Piero Selvaggio, Nancy Silverton and Michel Richard and food journalists Ruth Reichl, Colman Andrews and Barbara Fairchild. So here's my chance: Parsons is on the schedule for this Saturday's Off Ramp on KPCC with that Rabe dude from the previous post.

Speaking of Off Ramp: On this past weekend's Father's Day show, Charlie LeDuff talked about why he quit the New York Times to become a full-time dad. (Though he's now back at work in Detroit.)
