New commissioner for transportation

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa today appointed Stephanie M. Rodriguez to the city Board of Transportation Commissioners. Rodriguez, director of public affairs at KCAL/KCBS, fills the unexpired term of Paul Kim.

Also on the City Hall beat: Controller Laura Chick issued subpoenas for six aides to City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo, raising the stakes in her feud with him over audit powers. Councilman Tom LaBonge introduced a motion asking Chick and Delgadillo to call a cease-fire, but Chick issued a statement yesterday criticizing the council as well: "This is now a fight between the people of Los Angeles and their government. I will not back away from this fight, This is a battle that must be won for the taxpayer bringing full transparency and accountability to government."
