Usher comes out as Trutanich backer

Former planning commission chair Jane Usher is co-hosting a Feb. 18 fundraiser in Hancock Park for city attorney candidate Carmen Trutanich. "Trutanich lacks the staunchly Democratic, Westside, Ivy League credentials that we routinely favor," she writes in a letter to "neighbors and civic leaders." But he is endorsed by DA Steve Cooley, and important to Usher is that he's not Jack Weiss.
