Tonight's earthquake at 9:26 p.m. struck near Ocotillo, in the same region of the Imperial Valley near the U.S.-Mexico border where the quakes have been a-swarming for months. This one got a bit more attention in the greater L.A. area, but mostly it's just an excuse for people to tell their unremarkable "I felt it" stories. Moderate quake down there, small quake up here; no damage of note in the L.A. area. Aftershocks continue to rattle nerves, some of magnitude four and above.
