Garcetti gets to practice his mayor look

City Council President Eric Garcetti takes a turn as the fictional mayor of Los Angeles on tonight's episode of The Closer on TNT. Last time he was on, he stood in the back as his dad, consulting producer and former DA Gil Garcetti, portrayed the chief of police. This time, it's Eric alone. "Garcetti brings to the role his experience as Los Angeles City Council President and as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve," says a press release from his council office. "He is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and is an avid composer and pianist. After minor acting roles as a child, Garcetti appeared on an episode of 'All My Children' after helping move the series' production from New York to Los Angeles."
