emmys-la-2013-grab.jpgThey gave out the Los Angeles area local Emmy awards last night in North Hollywood. NBC4 won eight Emmys, including for the top regularly scheduled daily daytime newscast, investigative reporting and hard news reporting. Channel 7 was right behind with seven. There's a two-hour video of the proceedings down below.

David Ono of ABC7 won three Emmys and shared the award for hard news reporting with former NBC4 reporter Ana Garcia and Robbi Peele. The Emmy for outstanding news writer went to Daisy Lin of NBC4. KCET's in-limbo show "SoCal Connected" picked up three more Emmys, and Time Warner Cable's new Spanish-language regional sports channel, Time Warner Cable Deportes, won its first. Michael Schneider of TV Guide has a quick take.
