Sam Rubin: Bruce Jenner does not deserve 2 hours on ABC (video)

jenner-grab.jpgIn one of his "KTLA Morning News" segments this morning, Sam Rubin listed some of the world figures who might be worth a two-hour interview by Diane Sawyer in prime time on ABC. "Bruce Jenner is not one of those people," Sam says, logically enough. "And what will Jenner talk about? Who knows?" Rubin goes on to say that there's no content around Jenner's possible gender transition that trumps his transgressions as at least a passive participant in the "cultural crime" of fake news and hype about the Kardashians through the years. "Self perpetuating junk," Rubin says.

He also takes issue with CNN's Brian Stelter, the former New York Times media reporter, calling the interview the biggest scoop of Sawyer's career. More like her "biggest pile," Rubin says. (He mispronounces Stelter's name.)

Here's the piece.
