Emotional Kimmel asks his viewers to watch Letterman tonight (video)

Jimmy Kimmel will air a re-run of his show on ABC tonight so that his fans can switch over to CBS and watch Letterman's final show. His voice cracks a couple of times in his tribute last night. "Tomorrow night is Letterman's farewell show, and I'd like if you would make sure to watch that instead of our show."

You might remember, Kimmel gave one of the tributes when Letterman received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012.

Here's Bill Murray on last night's Letterman show. He begins by popping out of a cake.

By the way, that 2012 Kennedy Center Honors show is the one with the most remarkable performance of Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" you will ever hear or see. The surviving band members are blown away watching it. I posted it at the time, but what the hey, here it is again 16 million views later. Turn it up and wait for the choir to appear. That's the son of the late Zeppelin drummer John Bonham on the drums.
