Hey Fox 11, how are those contract talks going?

During a Fox 11 live shot this morning from the Pico-Robertson district, somebody protest-bombed the shot with a sign about labor troubles at — Fox 11. I don't know the details, but it seems like there has been an issue at KTTV for a long time now.

The embarrassing shot kinda takes the shine off Fox 11's other big news of the week. A new VP and general manager was named: Bob Cook. He succeeds Kevin Hale, who retired as of the end of July. Per TV Spy, Cook "started an entertainment and consulting business, MBN, Inc., after working for almost a decade as president of Twentieth Television. Before joining Fox in 2000, he was evp of CBS Enterprises and was svp for Sony’s Columbia Tri Star Television."

It's been pointed out to me that there are a lot of long-open positions at Fox 11/KTTV. Maybe that starts to change now that there's a new boss coming.
