It was bad from the opening bell and just got worse as a bunch of pretty awful economic reports came out (AP). No one seems very enthused about those better-than-expected results from Black Friday. Perhaps another factor was profit-taking from last week's mini-rally. There obviously is no appetite out there to buy and hold.
