Toyota is advising drivers to step on the brake pedal with both feet and shift into neutral if they need to come to an immediate stop. Drivers unable to shift into neutral should turn the engine off. For vehicles with push-button starters, drivers should steadily press the button for at least three seconds to turn off the engine. All this comes from documents that the automaker is distributing to dealers. Man, I can't wait to read the backstory on how all this happened. (WSJ)
