Stats thus far:

4,500 acres burned
Six firefighters have minor injuries
Dozens of LAFD and Urban Search and Rescue rigs fanned out along Ramirez Canyon, West Winding Way and many other small, country roads on the land side of PCH.

Press conference sked for 5 p.m.

3 p.m., burning east of Corral Canyon
