If you were awake and outdoors last night you may have felt the weather shift, felt sudden hot spots in the cool breeze coming in off the ocean, felt it swirl as it changed direction, coming down from the canyons now, the scent of sea overtaken by sage.

Here at Casa de LOUD! it was 76 degrees as the sun crested the horizon, then suddenly 80 and windy as we headed into Solstice Canyon. Weird light, Walter spooked the whole time, on edge, urging us forward, hurry walk faster, hurry get it over with, hurry get back to the road.
