Bush execution cartoon explained

L.A. Times editorial cartoonist Michael Ramirez today issued a statement that explains the point of his Sunday sketch depicting President Bush with a gun at his head. (Cartoon is here, with comments.) In part Ramirez says (the only part quoted on Reuters):

"President Bush is the target, metaphorically speaking, of a political assassination because of 16 words that he uttered in the State of the Union...Those with political motivations are using the uranium story as a method to attack the president."

The Secret Service is studying the cartoon to see if it merits any action, says Reuters.

Update: It's being discussed at SoCal Law Blog, the People's Republic of Seabrook and Power Line

I didn't think it needed an explanation.

There is no need for Mr. Ramirez, or anyone else to explain themselves to the government. Government was a hoax from the day that lie was foisted upon the inhabitants of North America ... we the people ...

I never gave my permission, nor did any of my friends

people are just really gullible and have been for thousands of years, you think his cartoon sets Bush's head on fire? You haven't seen anything until you see what I have planned ..... now that I know all it takes is a cartoon to get these folks panties all in a twist. It looks like I might need to take up drawing again. Besides I think the point here is if you don't protect a "pro-busher" when he was reprimanded by (so called) powers that be, then when an "anti-bush" cartoonist is shipped off to gantanamo bay you have no reason to complain because you're simply a hypocrite.

I see right through these folks and it amazes me that others don't ... or perhaps it's the pitty ploy ... awww poor mr. Criminal Bush ... The Free Mason, like his father, sworn to keep their fellow criminals action's secret. With their dirty dealings through the Carlyle Group, like the Howitzer that stalled long enough to go public so they didn't loose, and from the Korean bank deposits .... to the Iraqi oil deposits, some things never change. Some day people will wake up and spend the time to necessary to recognize these facts ... the unfortunate part is it's usually too late once people do ... I think they had something like that in the declaration of independance, not that I believe that load of bull either.

it's time to wake up people!
these folks are screwing everyone six ways to sunday.
and it's nothing new, all you have to do is follow the money.

I have withdrawn my support. I recommend you all do the same.

I cannot in good conscience stand in support of something I know to be a lie. Especially when i know others are using this lie for personal gain.

It doesn't take more than a third grader to figure out ... if you can make money out of nothing, pretty soon you'll trade all the nothing, for all the something and then you'll own everything.

Promote the truth, pass it on to the future generations! Your children, and your children's children will thank you for it.

peace :)

Preznit Dubya, and his father along with the Saudi Members of the Carlyle Group Planned the whole WTC plane crashes so they could bluff more people into support for their war.

1.) The us military budget is greater than the military budgets of all the other nations in the entire world combined, nobody else sees anything wrong with this?

2.) The supposed hijakers turned out to be 15 Saudi's on those planes, NONE match the manefest lists, NONE of them were Iraqi.

3.) The morning of 9-11 all the key members of Carlyle Group (the ex-preznits club) were located in a banquet room of the Ritz Carlton in Washington D.C. , No one else is suspicious of this either?

4.) Preznit Dubya reads to children even after he knows planes are crashing into buildings, no one finds this strange either ....

5.) How did someone KNOW to point a camera at the FIRST plane BEFORE it hit the World Trade Centre Tower, who was it, and where is that someone now? no one finds any of this strange?

6.) The media is afraid to ask these questions or they are in bed with these bozo's, you make that call yourself.
