Staff photographer Carolyn Cole is making the L.A. Times decision to post her in Liberia pay off, sending home fresh photos daily of the deteriorating situation. A gallery of the latest, showing today's American evacuations from Monrovia, is up on LATimes.com. Her photos on the front page of the Times have been outshining other papers.
