Liberia photoStaff photographer Carolyn Cole is making the L.A. Times decision to post her in Liberia pay off, sending home fresh photos daily of the deteriorating situation. A gallery of the latest, showing today's American evacuations from Monrovia, is up on LATimes.com. Her photos on the front page of the Times have been outshining other papers. The Times website also has news updates from staff writers Ann M. Simmons and Daryl Strickland on the ground.
