Both the L.A. Business Journal and the Daily News are reporting that the District Attorney is asking questions about the awarding of contracts by the Hahn Administration's Board of Airport Commissioners and its president, Ted Stein. Interest seems to be focusing on whether Stein, a major fund raiser for Mayor Jim Hahn, has asked people who wish to do business with the airport to make campaign contributions to Hahn or to last year's anti-secession campaign.

The top-of-the-front page Business Journal piece by Amanda Bronstad says that veteran PR executive Ron Rogers was asked by the DA's office about his experiences trying to bid on lucrative airport business. City Controller Laura Chick and the city Ethics Commission are also examining how contracts are being doled out, both papers say.
