The Pasadena NPR station manages to work alot of journalists into the week's news programming. Today at 10:30 a.m., during Larry Mantle's Airtalk, the subject will be Orange County. Guests on the OC Journalist Roundtable are Chris Reed of the Register, Jean Pasco of the Times and Gustavo Arellano of OC Weekly. At 11:30, CBS' Bob Schieffer is scheduled to talk about his book, Face the Nation: My Favorite Stories from the First 50 Years of the Award-Winning News Broadcast, but I suspect callers may want to talk more about his moderating of the last presidential debate.

From 2 to 3 p.m., Kitty Felde's Talk of the City will explore the Indian gambling Propositions 68 and 70, have on Linda Bloodworth Thomason to talk about the impact of turning 40, and Sandra Tsing Loh will use her weekly spot to vent her disappointment at once again not winning a Nobel. On Wednesday's show, LAPD chief Bill Bratton debated Proposition A with Tom Hayden. Listen to audio. KPCC is going heavy with election programming the next couple of weeks, and tonight at 8 p.m. airs a two-hour documentary from American Radio Works called "The Choice," about the presidential candidates.
