New show at KPCC

"Past Sunset" will air from 7 to 9 p.m. on a pilot basis weeknights from July 25 through August 5. David Cruz of NBC4 will be the host. Here's what the NPR station is saying:

"Past Sunset" will take you beyond the familiar thoroughfares, to places where you wouldn't normally go, to experience conversations you wouldn't normally hear. The program will provide a different perspective on the day's events, as well as focus on the lives of people in Southern California after dark.

Past Sunset will also incorporate breaking news, covering stories of the day in a fresh way, tapping into the voices of local communities for analysis. The show will also hear from regular contributors, and profile your neighbor.

Cruz is co-Anchor of Channel 4's "Midday Report at 11am" and a special assignments reporter.
