To quell a rumor

Robert Scheer will not be heard on today's Left, Right & Center on KCRW. But ScheerNation shouldn't get all protesty and throw up a picket line on Pico. He is still out of town on The Nation magazine cruise and the phone connection was dicey. Arianna Huffington will handle the left side all by herself on today's show at 2:30 and 7 pm. Scheer returns next week. By the way, the subject of Scheer's axed column and related backlash (and other recent moves at the Times) commands most of the half-hour of Deadline L.A. tomorrow at noon on KPFK. I am the guest with host Howard Blume.
