John Rabe gets a show *

KPCC will debut "Off-Ramp" Saturday at noon and run it biweekly until October, when it goes weekly. John Rabe, a reporter at the station who is a veteran of public radio, hosts. Queena Kim, late of Pacific Drift, produces and reports. They call "Off-Ramp" a show about Southern California news, art, culture and life. On the first show, they go for a ride with Times motorcycle beat columnist Susan Carpenter, speak with photographer Catherine Opie and political commentator Marc Haefele, and visit pit 91 at the La Brea Tar Pits.
