The Internet has spoken — no Los Angeles story came close to surpassing the interest in Antonio Villaraigosa and his affair with Telemundo rising star Mirthala Salinas. First came the divorce papers. Then Beth Barrett got the confirmation in the Daily News, and the story was off and running — complete with calls to repent, pregnancy denials, disclosures of other Salinas romances, pleas for privacy and a snarky cartoon. Finally, perhaps inevitably, the episode ended with a relationship and a career in ruins. Antonio, though, he's riding high again.
