'Marketplace' hires

The American Public Media show based on Figueroa Street downtown has added Bill Radke as a host of "Marketplace Morning Report," joining Steve Chiotakis on April 13. Radke was co-host of the canceled "Weekend America" and has been filling in at "Marketplace Morning Report." Also, Rod Abid is the new senior producer of Marketplace Morning Report, coming from NPR’s weekly quiz program, "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!" “After nine years in comedy, I am excited to join the Marketplace team and return to my first love: the excitement and deadline pressures of daily news coverage,” Abid says in the release. Deborah Clark, executive producer of NPR's "Day to Day," returns to "Marketplace" as senior producer of "Marketplace Money." The last broadcast of "Day to Day" is next Friday, Match 20.
