Now KPCC's John Rabe, riding his bike into work today, ran into a South Korean native named Shine who plans to ride home to Tennessee. Shine's goal is to follow the remnants of Route 66 as far as possible. Rabe blogs it, and it sounds as if it will be an item on Off-Ramp this weekend.

More transpo feats: Kimberly Anyadike, 15, just flew a small plane across the country to Compton, and Zac Sunderland, 17, has reached U.S. waters on the last leg of his solo sail around the world to Marina Del Rey.
