Ruth Seymour feted at Getty

Stamberg Seymour Sal.jpgLast night in the Getty Center restaurant, retiring KCRW chief Ruth Seymour received a champagne and hors d'oeuvre send-off. Attendees came from the arts and media, and included National Public Radio pioneer Susan Stamberg (shown here with Seymour), KPCC host Larry Mantle and general manager Bill Davis, book editor Jonathan Kirsch, writer Lawrence Weschler and chef Hans Rockenwagner. Speakers who toasted Seymour's 32 years at KCRW included David Bomford, acting director of the J. Paul Getty Trust; Michael Fleming, president of the KCRW Foundation; Chui Tsang, president of Santa Monica College; and KCRW's Warren Olney and Sarah Spitz.

Friday on the air: KCRW is airing a documentary it produced on Seymour at 9 a.m. Friday and again at 7 p.m.
