This word, or call it graffiti, is written on Echo Park Avenue at Duane Street. Fin has been there for a while, and I assume it refers to a bike race, which must have ended at this spot in front of Echo Park Cycles, which is just out of the picture frame here. But every time I notice the French word in passing, I think it's a new ending to something: the day, the week, a movie, my daydream -- and then I think, I know, Fin 2009. Goodbye 2009!
