New anchor for KCBS

Channel 2 is bringing in a 20-year veteran of the NBC station in Minneapolis, Paul Magers, to take over some anchor duties from Harold Greene. Magers is the long-reigning ratings king there, says the Star-Tribune. (Tip to commenter Hanna in the Brian Lowry post down below, with some analysis from Mike). RonFineman.com also has the news, behind the pay wall.

Fineman ran an amusing and fairly embarrassing item Monday on Channel 7 reporter Jovana Lara, who mispronounced the name of ubiquitous USC professor Erwin Chemerinsky as Chair a minsky, called him a U.S. professor of Law and later in her story on actors who move into politics said that Ronald Reagan was perhaps the most successful. Who are the other candidates?

The list goes on too, but none came close to being president for two terms.

But Clint was a more successful actor.

1. Mangers is OLD. Who needs more conservative older folks on L.A. tv news?

2. You must be a paying 7-day-a-week LA Times subscriber or else pay 'em $39.95 online to look at anything in their Calendar.
