Air America won't be back at 1580*

It's official: the liberal radio network of Al Franken, Janeane Garofalo and Marty Kaplan won't return to KBLA. Air America announced today that it's in talks to get back on the air "shortly" with new higher-wattage stations in Los Angeles and Chicago. The rest of the network carries on.

* But: If you must have your Garofalo, she and Air America host Laura Flanders are appearing together for a conversation Wednesday night (7 p.m.) at the Hammer Museum in Westwood.
