Seymour Hersh chats about his book Chain of Command with Lawrence O'Donnell on The Politics of Culture Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. on KCRW (89.9 FM or live on the web). On KPCC at 10 a.m., AirTalk with Larry Mantle will delve into the politics of the King/Drew Medical Center controversy.

* A reader points out: Hersh was on KPFK with Ian Masters yesterday. Audio will likely soon be archived here. And in a somewhat related vein, the MAK Center for Art and Architecture at the Schindler House in West Hollywood begins a new series of "Discussions in the Garden." They are modeled after the salons that Pauline Schindler held in the same garden on Kings Road in the 1950s. (If this means nothing to you, go here for a spot of L.A. history.) Now the related part: The speaker at the first event Wednesday at 7 p.m. is Laura Flanders, author of Bushwomen: Tales of a Cynical Species. Future discussions will include Carol Brightman, Tom Hayden and Gary Indiana. For the Ayn Randians out there, the MAK Center also is holding a screening of The Fountainhead on Sept. 30.
