Pacifica marathon

KPFK logoKPFK and the nation's other Pacifica stations are preempting normal programming on Thursday to raise money for preserving the Pacifica radio archives. From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., KPFK will air the archived voices of James Baldwin, Fannie Lou Hamer, Malcolm X, Pete Seeger, Phil Ochs, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Dylan Thomas and others. I notice that the KPFK website has a new design that renders some of my links obsolete; I'll go through and update them.

Michael MooreAlso Thursday on the left: Writers Bloc has added an event with Michael Moore at 7:30 p.m. at the Wadsworth Theatre on the historic former Soldiers Home grounds in Brentwood. Moore will be interviewed about Fahrenheit 911 and other stuff by John Dean, the Nixon White House figure and author of Worse Than Watergate.
