KCRW adds a pundit

Nick Madigan, who recently left a contract gig with the New York Times L.A. bureau to become the media reporter for the Baltimore Sun, will join the KCRW afternoon lineup with "Minding the Media." He is an ex-Santa Monica Evening Outlook reporter who also has Variety on his resume. He takes the David Kipen commentary slot at 4:44 p.m. on Tuesdays. Madigan would have started tomorrow, but KCRW is running an hour-long NPR special on the John Roberts confirmation hearings during afternoons this week. Once he does get on, the segments will air at 89.9 FM, stream live at KCRW.com and be podcast.
