KNBC investigative producer headed to NYC

I've noticed that when the local Emmys and annual L.A. Press Club awards roll around, a few names recur year after year. One of those has been KNBC investigative producer Fred Mamoun. This year he was the Press Club's co-journalist of the year with Ana Garcia, his reporting partner on many projects. He's worked on border stories, rogue tow truck drivers, unregulated parking valets, improperly stored county records and other stories I remember. After ten years, I'm told, Mamoun is headed to New York to be executive producer of the Investigative unit at Fox station WNYW. Whether his move has anything to do with Garcia's recent shift or the turmoil at Channel 4, I don't know.

Also: Lycan posts that KABC-7 weekend morning co-anchor and GA reporter Lisa Hernandez is headed to Houston's KHOU as the anchor replacement for Lucy Noland, now here at KNBC.
