The forthcoming KCRW program guide will show writer/producer Rob Long with a new slot in the commentary lineup during "All Things Considered." His four-minute spot on Hollywood to be called Martini Shot will air Wednesdays at 6:44 p.m. on KCRW (89.9 FM), starting June 2. Long wrote for and was co-executive producer of "Cheers'' and has a production company based at Paramount. He wrote the book Conversations with My Agent and is a contributing editor of National Review.

Posted by: Matt Welch at May 20, 2004 05:27 PMBut there's nothing wrong with a good whine. Especially one from the Paso Robles region. Oops. Pardon me. Yes, the media political bias folks would be well-served if they cut it out.

Congrats Rob!
Posted by: Tiffany at May 20, 2004 07:12 PMRob said they'd hired a couple of other commentators besides him. Weren't they mentioned in the press release?
Posted by: Cathy Seipp at May 20, 2004 11:24 PMUh, yes. Guess you missed the full rundown, couple of posts above this one, posted at 6:30. Link
