EXT. MT. LEE ROAD - NIGHT

About to get out of the Crown Vic, Napolitano sees a car shining its BRIGHTS behind them.

NAPOLITANO
That’s them. Get out, I owe ’em one.

They both get out as Napolitano shifts into neutral and aims the wheel. The car begins to roll backward downhill, picking up speed.

INT. BMW - NIGHT

Alphonse, behind the wheel, brakes in panic. Wayne is upfront, with Bony holding his gun on Deland in the back. The Crown Vic barrels toward them in reverse.

WAYNE
Go around!
ALPHONSE
I can’t!
WAYNE
Do it…!

Alphonse tries to squeeze past, but can’t. Wayne, Deland and Boni bail out just before the cars collide. The Beemer goes crashing through the fence --

OVER THE LEDGE

With Alphonse inside, careening off the road and flipping down the hillside, CRUNCHING horribly into some trees.

EXT. MT. LEE - NIGHT

Napolitano and Rachel, halt their descent toward the Hollywood Sign to watch in horror.

NAPOLITANO
Come on…!
RACHEL
Don’t even think about trying to help him.
NAPOLITANO
We’ll let the cops worry about that. They’ll be here five within minutes after we trip the motion detectors on that sign. You ready?
