SAM
Gallardo wants to blow the whistle.
NAPOLITANO
He needs to listen to Deland.
SAM
I’ll make sure he’s clear on that.
NAPOLITANO
And have Liza get me a new cell phone with the same number.
SAM
You lost your cell?
NAPOLITANO
Have her deactivate the old one and get me a new one. Before we leave.
SAM

As Sam scurries out --

INT. MAYOR’S OFFICE - AN HOUR LATER - DAY

Napolitano, dressed in a suit, sits at his desk where a pretty COSMETICIAN has set up a makeup mirror and is applying pancake to cover his bruise. His dishes have been cleared away, and Sam and the cops are gone. The intercom BEEPS on.

LIZA (OVER INTERCOM)
Mr. Mayor, your driver is here.
NAPOLITANO
Thank you, have him wait downstairs.
LIZA (OVER INTERCOM)
Yes sir.

She BEEPS off. Napolitano grabs the mirror, checks himself out, and --

NAPOLITANO
Just like new.
