EXT. VENICE STREETS - NIGHT

Omar and Napolitano walk briskly away from the beach on a
residential Venice street. Omar keeps his hand on the gun in his jacket pocket.

OMAR
Hold up, bro. I got a new plan.
NAPOLITANO
Hope it's smarter than the last one.

They stop in the shadows at Pacific Ave., Omar keeping a wary eye out for cops. He stands toward the street, so that Napolitano, facing him, has his back to passing traffic.

OMAR
Listen up. We need a meeting of the minds.
NAPOLITANO
Celeste.
OMAR
Celeste's off the table at the moment. Listen up.

He spots a car cruising by and drifts back into the shadows.

OMAR
I'm over here.

By which he means Napolitano should keep his eyes forward. The mayor reluctantly turns his glance away from the street.

OMAR
Lemme tell you why I called this face-to-face.
NAPOLITANO
Good, you do that, Omar.
OMAR
I know you and Little Queenie been gettin' it on.
NAPOLITANO
Oh, you do?
OMAR
I'm all over your business, bro. This is just the tip of it.
