Rachel's eyes stay on the TV, her face dark and worried.

EXT. WILSHIRE BLVD, KOREATOWN -- NIGHT

A 40-FOOT TALL KOREAN WOMAN winks and smiles on the video billboard covering the Aroma Wilshire Center.

Helicopter spotlights rake the streets as scores of uniforms exit their cruisers.

A COP lays down a spike strip.

Down the block, the blue hybrid slows.

INT. FORD ESCAPE - NIGHT

Sam flicks a drop of sweat from the corner of his eye.

SAM
Looks like the end of the road.

The only answer he gets is a heavy sigh.

SAM
You don't have to make a statement. Better if you don't.

EXT. WILSHIRE BLVD, KOREATOWN -- CONTINUOUS

The Escape slows, then stops in the middle of the street.

Cops drop into position with weapons drawn.

COP ON BULLHORN
Exit the vehicle, driver first -- hands over your head!

The driver's door opens and Sam steps out shakily. Four cops grab him, cuff him, and hustle him away from the car.

The passenger door cracks open. A pair of hands appear above the doorjamb. A foot KICKS the door open. Fifty-six firearms cock and aim.

COP ON BULLHORN
Down on the ground!

The palms turn upward as if to say "Who, me?" Four more cops rush forward as the passenger slowly emerges from the car.
